Very funny post. Excellent writing. My wife had a similar experience a while back when pregnant with our second child. Pauleen wished to continue exercising during her pregnancy, and our pool was too cold for her to swim each morning. She decided to signed up to swim at the community center where the pool was heated to a tempting 80 degrees. Like you, she was always the youngest in the water, and "the ladies club" was comprised of 70+ year old women with spunk. Pauleen would come home each morning with great stories of how these women twice her age, would blaze past her in the swim lanes taunting her to keep up. Their spirit kept Pauleen going as they waited patiently at the end of the pool for the "Prego with the Noodle" to finish up her laps. Thanks for sharing your experience. I've added you to my reader, and have suggested the same to Pauleen.

Hi,

You can add La maladie de la mort (The maladie of death) to the short stories. It's an interesting 1 hour read.

I met Paige a long time ago, way before she opened New Hope Academy. She used to be my tutor and she always told me that her calling was to open a school in my community. I did believe her but, I king of thought her dreams and ambitions were very high. She is an excellent person and one of the most caring people that I have ever had the chance of meeting. This article explains her exactly. This post is so encouraging and for those who do not know Paige, she is encouraging also.

Hi. I just ran across your blog and WOW -I am impressed with your list! I have read a handful of your reading goals and if what I've actually read is any indication of the rest of your pics, it will be an adventurous and meaning-full(!) year!

Just wanted to say happy reading. I hope you give some reviews along the way...I will be checking back.

And for two MORE (and unsolicited) cents I would add, What is the What by Dave Eggers. I think this is his most profound book. Or perhaps it had the most profound impact on me! ;)
